To: jumptrout51, whirlpooltech, AJ & JWWebster – many thanks guys for the great info! It seemed there had to be a “fuse” somewhere but I had no idea where or what it could be. I followed the link you gave me & ordered the fuse & new wires. When it gets here & I get them in I’ll let yall know how it goes.

Again, many thanks for all of your help – and thanks especially for this website! God Bless yall!

I checked the clutch in my washer after the spinning cycle and it was really hot. I ordered the clutch. I installed it today and the washer spins like a new one. Thank you very much for all the help and assistance.

Exactly what I needed, everything went smoothly. Thanks for the web site and all of the information. Ya’ll sure are going to slow down the appliance repairman’s workload. Soon they may all be like the Maytag repairman. Thanks again,

OK, I did it. I turned the machine on it’s side and loosed the water pump from the machine’s base by removing 3 5/16″ screws. After removing the two hoses attached with hose clamps, the pump slipped right out and the new one went in just as easily. I replaced the new belts that I ordered and the machine runs perfectly. And to think I was ready to go buy a new machine.

Thanks for everyone’s help. This is an awesome service and got me looking in the right direction. It was the vent for sure, ran it twice all the way through and not one drop of water! I guess in 17 years of running perfect I should do some maintenance.

wm2277hs help with washer

Posted by: Appliance Technician | Comments (0)

Here’s what the manual has to say regarding the LE code:

The connector (3-pin, male, white) in the MOTOR

HARNESS is not connected to the connector

(3-pin, female, white) of STATOR ASSEMBLY.

• The electric contact between the connectors

(3-pin, male, white) in the MOTOR HARNESS

and 4-pin, female, white connector in the MAIN PWB

ASSEMBLY is bad or unstable.

• The MOTOR HARNESS between the STATOR

ASSEMBLY and MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY is cut (open

circuited).

• The hall sensor is out of order/defective

If you have OHmed out the wire harness from the main PCB to the motor, and have checked the stator on the motor for signs of broken or loose wiring, then you can assume the PCB is bad.

I would like to thank the people who helped me with my GE SS fridge problem. It turned out to be the compressor. I replaced the compressor and it has been working fine since.
